1 Corinthians
2:12

have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so
that we may understand what God has freely given us."NIV
"Now we have
received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we
might know the things that are freely given to us of God." KJV
The spirit of this
world which dictates the beliefs and behaviors of non-Christians, does not
understand, nor seek to understand the things of God. As Christians, we
sometimes become frustrated that non-believers don't "get it" and they shrug us
off when we shine His light on them. If we understand that they are in the
prison of darkness and cannot, are not able to, know about our God. We know the
wonderful gifts He has showered on us. If we pray to be open to God so He can
show us what to say and do, He will prepare the hearts of the unbelievers to
receive Him.
Heavenly Father,
we are so fully aware of the wonderful gift of eternal life You have given us.
Forgive us for not understanding that unbelievers are held prisoners by the evil
one and do not have the ability to understand. Give us the fullness of Your Holy
Spirit to share the good news with them, so that they can share in the blessings
of Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

There is so much evil in our world. Think what it would be if not for the Spirit, if not for Christians, if not for churches. It would be hell on earth. For many people it is hell on earth. So sad.
