FUELED WITH POWER AND PATIENCE

Colossians 1:11

"Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience." NIV

"Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness." KJV

We can think of times when we have worked a very hard day and with our weary bodies we lie down to a good night's sleep. When we wake up, we feel refreshed and strengthened. Just imagine how we can feel when we allow God to strengthen our weary spirits with His mighty power. Yes, God longs to make us strong by His all powerful strength. His Word tells us He does this so that we will meet every day in this evil world with more energy and patience.

Heavenly Father, we cannot fathom the power that dwells with You that is all power. We stand in need of strength to stand against the trials and problems this world throws our way. Forgive us for wanting to give up and sit back in defeat. Give us strength to endure with patience and joy through Your almighty power. We ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

It's wonderful that He gives us strength to face the world but He also gives us power to fight the world.

I need strength at my job. It is full of unbelievers and God knows my patience is wearing thin there! Such a great share! Thank you!

Yes, Bettyl, He supplies all we need to live in this difficult world. Isn't He faithful?

Annesphamily, it is truly difficult to work around worldly, ungodly people. God has you there for a reason. They need the Light you have. Look to Him!
