NO MORE HUNGER OR THIRST

John 6:35

"Then Jesus declared,'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'"NIV

"And Jesus said unto them,'I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.'"KJV

How many of us, being hungry, would pass up our favorite meal all spread out and ready to taste? Can we picture how satisfied we would be after such a meal. The thing is, it wouldn't be too many hours until our hunger would return and we would begin our search for something else to satisfy our hunger. Any of our desires for things that satisfy and fulfill us temporarily soon leave us wanting something else. If we, by faith, accept Jesus Christ as the bread of life, our souls will be satisfied. We will never want for anything again. He will supply all our needs, and the peace He gives us will keep us content for all eternity.

Heavenly Father, You know all about our human wants and needs. But You have made a way for us to be eternally fulfilled and have all our needs met. We give You praise and glory for giving of Your Son, the Bread of Life. Help us to stay focused on Him so that we will live in peace and contentment no matter what is going on in our lives here on earth. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
