CAUTION

1 Corinthians 10:12

"So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall."NIV

"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."KJV

As children of God, we all have our mountain top times and our valley times. There are days when we feel that we are strong in the Lord and days when we feel pretty weak. For whatever reason, we don't seem to worry as much about the good days because we want to have those days and experience their good things. When we are in the valleys, we cling desperately to the Lord, seeking His nearness to comfort us. But, it is at those mountain top times when we think we are strong and can stand through any thing Satan may send our way that we are most vulnerable. It is at those times that we are to watch, be alert, and stand firm, on guard.

Heavenly Father, when we are really thinking we are standing strong and are protected from the evil of this world and Satan, remind us that we are to take heed and listen to the warnings of the Holy Spirit that we will be alert and not fall. We can only do this with Your help and Your mercy. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
