A TRUTH ABOUT FAITH

Hebrews 11:6

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." NIV

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." KJV

The plain truth is, it takes faith to reach the heartstrings of God. Faith is not something we can just conjure up at any given moment because we have a need. In order to have faith we must know God and His nature. We can only know that by the Word of God. If we want to reach God and receive from Him, we will actively be in the Word, knowing Him better each day, and growing in faith.

Heavenly Father, for the times we have called out to You without diligently seeking you through the Word and prayer, we ask forgiveness. Give us more hunger for Your Word so that we will grow in faith and knowledge of You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

In order to have faith, we do have to know God. Some want more faith just by feelings, but it does take a certain amount of knowledge. So thankful for His Word that gives us such a great foundation for knowing Him.

we also have to Remember the Lord is the Author and Finisher of our Faith We must be willing to allow God to work in us and through us by the Power of the Holy Spirit as well. Step out of our box or what we may consider our comfort zone and see what God does! Asking HIM to increase our Faith or just like you said, a hunger for HIS Word is sooo important and then acting on it when HE does!!! :)

Great post!
