HIS LOVE AND COMPASSION

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."NIV

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." KJV

Have we ever stopped to think what a predicament we would be in if we got what we really deserve for the lives we have lived? If people got what they really deserve, this old planet would have ripped apart at the seams centuries ago. But praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ, who because of His great love for us, even though we could care less, provided the way for us to be held faultless because He took our punishment for us. Because of His great love, we are not consumed, because His love never fails.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for forgetting just where we were and where You have brought us by Your great love. Help us to never lose that humility that You showed to us when You walked this earth. We are not better than the sinner or pagan. The difference is, we are redeemed, not by our own merit, but by Your grace. Thank you Lord, and we pray this in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
