GOD'S TIME

2 Peter 3:8

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." NIV

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." KJV

There is no time with God as we know time. There is only eternity. The Lord has orchestrated things to result in the return of Jesus Christ and the new heaven and earth, for eternity. We still try to put God on our time schedule. Man made time in years, days, and minutes to stay on an organized schedule. If we refrain from trying to fit God into our time, we will be free to have patience and enjoy the unfolding of God's plan in His time.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for trying to put you into our concept of time and expecting you to answer our prayers in a given time span. Help us to understand that you do not watch a clock, but that you watch your eternal plan going forth into eternity just as you designed. In Jesus' name. Amen

It has only been in recent years that I have come to understand this important concept. Very well done. Thank you.

I loved the words, "have patience and enjoy the unfolding of God's plan in His time." It really is about patiently trusting Him to do what He thinks is best when He thinks is best. The more time I spend in His Word, the more patiently I can trust His timing.

Hi Bobbi,

Our world is one governed by time and sequence. When I try to envision life without timing, rhythm, and sequence, I can only perceive chaos. What I do know is there is nothing chaotic or out of synch that pertains to God.

Thank you for reminding me that God's unfolding plan occurs within a rhythm that I don't have to hear or sense; yet it faithfully occurs without missing a beat.

Blessings and peace.
