TESTING & EXAMINATION

There aren't too many of us who enjoy taking tests or
being examined. It puts us on the spot and might reveal
that we are not up to par or that we are deficient in some
way. But the only way we can find out if something is wrong
is be tested or examined. As Christians we are to be in the
habit of examining our own thoughts, feelings, motives, and
actions to see if there is any thing in us that is displeasing
to our Lord. Only when we find and expose those things
can we change them and be in perfect tune with our Lord.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for neglecting to examine
ourselves for things in our lives that should not be there.
Help us to make it a regular practice so that we can be
clean before You. In Jesus' name.

Read Lamentations 3:40

"Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return
to the Lord." (NIV)

"Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord."
(KJV)
