LIVING SACRIFICES

If we want to worship our Lord in the way that is the most
pleasing and joyful to Him, what would we be doing? Would
we be spending hours a day in deep prayer? That is certainly
a good thing. Would we be reading and studying our Bibles
with great focus and attention? Of course that would be
good for our spiritual growth. But what would be the most
pleasing to Him? It is giving our lives, our every day living
to Him to use as He sees fit. It is laying our selves out
before Him without any intentions but to be used by Him.
That is the natural response for us who have received
His unending mercy.

Heavenly Father, we are so blessed by Your mercy to us.
We know that in ourselves we have nothing we can give
You that would repay what You have done for us. We come
before You, giving You all we have, our lives, for Your
pleasure. In Jesus' name.

Read Romans12:1

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy,
to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing
to God--this is your spiritual act of worship." (NIV)

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service." (KJV)

Someone said, "We can only offer a sacrifice of praise in this lifetime."
