WATCH OUR WAYS

The Lord gives us so many warning and opportunities to watch what
we do, to examine ourselves. If we do not have a solid and humble
commitment to the Lord, the things we do for Him will be for naught,
like water leaking out of a bucket full of holes. This happens because
we look at the things we do and pat ourselves on the back. Yes, we've
all done that and that pat on the back is our reward. If we are focusing
on the Lord, the things we do for Him will be like second nature. We
will be too busy praising Him and rejoicing in His love for us.

Heavenly Father, help us each day to commit all we think, say, and do to
you. Keep our hearts pure and humble in your sight. In Jesus' name.

Read Haggai 1:5,6

"Now this what the Lord Almighty says: 'Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it." (NIV)

"Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes." (KJV)
