LOVE IN THE WRONG PLACE

Money is not evil. It is the love of money that causes all sorts of evil
to happen. Loving riches can even pull Christians away from the faith
because of its' deceitful reputation of bringing happiness and power.
For those who have fallen into this trap, great anguish of soul has
resulted. The realization has come to them that they have traded
true joy and eternal life for that which does not last or satisfy.

Heavenly Father, we humbly ask that you will guard our hearts and
minds against loving the things money can provide for us more than
we love the things of God. In Jesus' name.

Read 1 Itmothy 6:10

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager
for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with
many griefs." (NIV)

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted
after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through
with many sorrows." (KJV)
