If we are contending for the faith, that is, faith in Jesus
as the Christ, then we are wrestling against anything that
would threaten that faith. We would be battling any thought,
imagination, or temptation that would distract us from the
narrow path of truth. So, be actively holding on to the faith!

"Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about
the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to
contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the
saints." (NIV)
"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you,
and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith
which was once delivered unto the saints." (KJV)
